The Pig Family Blends Series Guides
The books in the Pig Family Blends Series give an easy introduction to the blending of adjacent consonants at the beginning and end of CCVC and CVCC words where the medial vowel is 'a, e, i, o, u'. The blending of these consonants is part of Phonic Phase 4 of the DFCS phonic programme 'Letters and Sounds' for children at the end of the Foundation Stage and going into Year 1 of Key Stage 1.
