Reception A series, A Series Extra, A Digraphs Guide
These three series form the basis of teaching children to read in the Reception Year of the Foundation Stage in UK schools. The letters of the alphabet are introduced a few at a time. 16 of the most frequently used 'undecodable' words to be taught in Phonic Phases 2 and 3 are introduced one at a time over all the 22 books. ( the, I, go, to, no, me, we, he, she, they, my, are, you, said, was, come). The consonant digraphs 'sh, ch, th' are introduced in books 17, 18 and 19.
