The main aim of this series is to introduce children to the letters of the alphabet in simple words, so that they learn the sounds associated with them and how to write them.
The books have no capital letters, no sentences and no full stops so that complications are avoided.
Each book has simple nouns joined by simple adjectives and the connecting words 'a, on, in, and, the'.
The letters used are 18 of those taught in Phonic Phase 2 of Letters and Sounds, plus 'x'. (k is not used.)
The letter 's' is only used at the end of the word 'cats', where it is pronounced /s/.
